Ephemyria is a family-owned crystal shop and artisan studio dedicated to creating and curating nature-inspired art, ethically sourced natural specimens, crystals, minerals, and handcrafted home décor. Our name is inspired by the ephemeral nature of life, reminding us that beauty exists in every season, every landscape, and every fleeting moment.
We believe there is something deeply soulful about communing with nature. Whether we're crystal digging in Arkansas, exploring our family's Texas property, foraging along a creek, or quietly observing wildlife, these moments remind us that we are not separate from the natural world. We are part of it.

Ephemyria is owned and operated by two sisters who share a lifelong love of rocks, minerals, crystals, bones, wildlife, and the natural world. Our appreciation for nature grew from a family tradition of sustainability, ethical stewardship, outdoor exploration, and learning about the ecosystems we call home.
Who creates your products?
Many of the products available at Ephemyria are handcrafted by us.
Our resin artwork, sculptures, decorative pieces, jewelry, and many other creations are made by hand in our studio. Many of the natural materials incorporated into our artwork are personally gathered during our own adventures.
What inspires your collections?
Our greatest inspiration is the natural world.
Our artwork reflects time spent crystal digging, hiking, exploring forests, observing wildlife, and appreciating the quiet beauty of the landscapes around us. We strive to create meaningful pieces that celebrate nature, spirituality, folklore, and the wonder of the Earth.

How are fragile items packaged?
Every order is packed with exceptional care.
Delicate items such as crystals, minerals, glass vessels, natural bone specimens, and handcrafted artwork are individually wrapped using parchment paper, bubble wrap, and other protective materials to help ensure they arrive safely.
Are your crystals natural?
Yes.
Every crystal we sell is naturally formed unless otherwise stated in the product description.
Natural crystals develop over thousands or even millions of years, making every specimen unique. Differences in color, inclusions, clarity, growth patterns, and shape are natural characteristics that make genuine crystals so special.
Where do your crystals come from?
Our crystals come from several locations around the world, with many of our personal collections originating in Texas and Arkansas.
Whenever possible, we personally collect crystals during our own digging trips, including expeditions into Arkansas's Ouachita Mountains, one of the world's most well-known quartz-producing regions.
Will I receive the exact item shown in the photos?
It depends on the listing.
For one-of-a-kind items such as unique crystal specimens, natural bone displays, handcrafted artwork, and decorative pieces, you'll receive the exact item shown unless otherwise noted.
Products sold by quantity, weight, or as curated collections will naturally vary. No two crystals, stones, bones, or pieces of wood are ever identical.
We photograph our products as accurately as possible, though colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings.
Do you identify your crystals and minerals?
Yes.
We carefully identify every crystal and mineral we sell so you know exactly what you're purchasing.
If we are ever uncertain about a specimen's identity, we will clearly state that rather than make assumptions.
Are your natural products ethically sourced?
Yes.
Ethical sourcing is one of the core values behind Ephemyria. Many of our natural materials are personally gathered from our family's Texas property or during our own crystal digging and foraging adventures.
We believe in respecting nature, minimizing waste, and following all applicable wildlife and land-use laws.
What does "ethically sourced" mean at Ephemyria?
At Ephemyria, ethical sourcing is not simply a marketing phrase. It reflects how we collect, create, and care for every natural material that becomes part of our work.
Many of the materials used in our collections come directly from our family's land in Texas or from our own crystal-digging and rock-foraging adventures. We believe in responsible stewardship, sustainable practices, and using what nature provides with respect.
Bone & Natural Specimens
Our family participates in legal, regulated hunting on our private Texas property while following all applicable wildlife laws and seasonal regulations.
Animals harvested for food may include white-tailed deer, axis deer, aoudad, mouflon, black Hawaiian sheep, feral hogs, wild turkey, and fish, depending on the season and wildlife management practices. The meat is used by our family, and whenever appropriate, the natural byproducts are respectfully cleaned, preserved, and incorporated into our artwork and displays.
Many of our non-game specimens are naturally foraged from our property after animals have died from natural causes, predation, weather, or other environmental factors.
We do not purchase bones, skulls, or taxidermy specimens from wholesalers, collectors, auctions, or commercial suppliers. We do not hunt animals solely to create artwork or home décor.
Stones, Rocks & Minerals
Many of the stones featured in our collections are personally foraged rather than purchased in bulk.
Our crystal specimens are collected during our own digging trips, including expeditions to Arkansas's Ouachita Mountains. Other rocks and natural materials are gathered by hand during our travels and outdoor adventures whenever possible.
Because many of our materials are personally collected, every collection is unique and naturally limited.
Respect for Nature
Whether we're harvesting game for food, crystal digging, hiking, foraging stones, or preserving naturally weathered specimens, our goal is always the same.
To appreciate nature without exploiting it.
We follow all applicable laws, avoid unnecessary waste, and believe every natural material deserves to be appreciated for its beauty, history, and story.
How are your bone specimens cleaned and preserved?
Every specimen is prepared with patience and respect for the natural process.
Rather than using harsh chemicals to remove tissue, we first allow nature to do much of the work. Time, weather, insects, and other natural processes remove the majority of organic material while helping preserve the bone's natural structure.
Once ready, each specimen is carefully cleaned and soaked in a high-grade hydrogen peroxide solution for up to 48 hours. Hydrogen peroxide naturally sanitizes and whitens bone without causing the long-term damage associated with chlorine bleach.
After cleaning, every specimen is thoroughly dried, inspected, and prepared for display.
Are these real bones?
Yes.
Every bone specimen we sell is genuine.
Because they are natural materials, some pieces may retain a faint natural scent despite being carefully cleaned and preserved. This is completely normal and generally fades over time.
Are your resin pieces handmade?
Yes.
Every resin piece is individually handcrafted by us.
Is every resin piece unique?
Absolutely.
Every resin pour is different. Natural movement of pigments, metallic powders, botanicals, and other materials ensures every creation is one of a kind.
Can I request a custom resin piece?
Yes.
Many of our resin pieces can be customized. If you have a specific vision, color palette, crystal combination, or decorative style in mind, we'd love to discuss creating something uniquely yours.
Why do you forage your own materials?
Foraging allows us to maintain the highest standards for how our natural materials are collected.
By personally gathering many of our own stones, crystals, driftwood, bones, and natural specimens, we know exactly where they came from and how they were collected.
It is the best way we know to ensure that no one was exploited, no wildlife was needlessly harmed, and every piece carries an authentic connection to the land it came from.
For us, collecting is not simply about gathering materials. It is about slowing down, observing the world, respecting nature, and preserving the stories written into every crystal, weathered bone, and river stone we bring home.
