Cretaceous Period Oysters and Marine Specimens

Ancient fossil sea shells hand collected from the San Saba River in Menard, Texas while searching the riverbeds and limestone banks of our family deer lease.

These fossilized oyster shells and marine specimens date back roughly 100 million years to the Cretaceous period, when much of Texas rested beneath a shallow inland sea. Naturally weathered and river-smoothed over time, each piece carries preserved textures, ridges, and patterns shaped by both ancient oceans and the Texas landscape itself.

Every shell is hand picked, bringing a small piece of prehistoric Texas into your space.
