Tumbled Petrified Wood (Texas)
Gathered responsibly from the sandy soils and ancient river deposits of Southeast Texas, this petrified wood carries the slow story of time itself. These pieces are often found within iron-rich sediments, clays, and gravels—remnants of old floodplains and coastal environments where fallen trees were buried, protected, and gradually transformed over millions of years. As mineral-rich water moved through the wood, it replaced the organic material, preserving the original grain in stone.
Each piece is carefully tumbled to bring out its natural patterns and warm, earthy tones—subtle reds, browns, and golden hues shaped by the surrounding minerals. The finish is smooth, but the character remains untouched, like a quiet echo of the environment it came from.
No two are alike—each one a small, ancient fragment of Texas land, shaped by shifting rivers, layered sediments, and deep time itself.
